New Drawing Tablet & Character Concept Turnaround

This week I got my new drawing tablet in! I have always used my bamboo create from when I was back in high school but I decided it was time for an upgrade.

However with the expense of having to get a new computer I am trying a new type of tablet, as much as I wanted to stay with Wacom, I just cant swing it right now.

This new tablet brand is called HUION and the tablet is comparable to the largest sized intuos pro tablet that runs about $500.

This tablet Inspiroy Q11k v2 was just under $100 and after watching and reading many reviews on it and comparing the two I am very excited.

I haven't been able to try it out yet though, my computer will get in on the 31st Being that I don't have it yet I haven't been able to do much computer work at all.

Besides researching for a new tablet and getting a new one I also worked my character turnaround for our character pipeline class. I had to do it by hand because of how poorly my old laptop is working. It was really relaxing to draw in my sketchbook though. I honestly think I don't obsess over things as much because I can't zoom in like on the computer.

See drawing and reference/inspiration board below.
