The Start of my Sprint

This week I have officially completed the required construction on the cabinet including getting the wall mount correctly set up, the TV installed, and the Lexan polycarbonate sheet drilled and mounted as well. I am very excited because now all I have left is to paint and then create my cosmetic picture frame for the outside to cover the seams. It was a frustrating week upon going to mount the wall mount and TV I found out that where I had built my horizontal supports across the back of the cabinet was all wrong. I had made the assumption the the TV mount attached to the center of the TV and based all my measurements with building the whole thing on that. When I went to mount it I realized my mistake and was super upset with myself, but with some regrouping and focusing I just buckled down and removed all the screws and wood supports and then re adjusted them and screwed them in to where they needed to be. Thankfully when I had cut all my boards I kept my scraps because in the end I had to use them to make it work. I then painted all the new wood supports and the back of the cabinet that was previously covered so it hadn't had gotten painted. Installed the wall mount, the TV ( which had to be adjusted a few times to get right) and then pre drilled and attached the Lexan. Seeing it all together is truly a sight for my sore eyes.

Now, with a month left the painting begins, and thanks to all powers that may be, the flow washable acrylic paint samples I did are nice and scratchable. The only concern I have is how much I will have to layer it and build the paint up because of the TV shining through it because it does dry a bit transparent and it takes a while for the layers to dry so it will be very interesting for sure.

I also made a small 16 x 16 px turtle icon for the site.

Created a Resume for any game related jobs. Did my assignments for Team Management.

Wrote most of my Thesis defense speech, and watched a few artist speeches / Ted Talks to help me.

As well as made, packaged, and shipped 15 Etsy orders.

I am stopping working at the Jewelry store for the remainder of the semester, Saturday was suppose my last day, but unfortunately a coworkers family emergency at Tom's family store has left them very short staffed this week and I am going to help them out for the remainder of the week. Then it will be a race to the finish line.
