More Painting Problems

So my fear for painting my project were true. I did a bunch more little tests and have concluded simply that the paint just does not want to behave as paint.

Layering is really hard with the current layer you are working on essentially washing off the layer underneath it (it is a water based paint mixed with soap) and the paint is washable.... so this makes sense. But mixing colors on the painting itself is very difficult wet on wet blending doesn't really work and I can't use like any dry brush techniques because of how wet the paint is mixed with the soap.

I tried to use regular acrylics on the scratchable washable base but they kinda just shrunk up and dried in trails, cracks (yellow & green on right) . I then mixed soap with them and they stuck better but dried looking watercolory and with a bunch of small cracks in it (yellow & green on left).

We are getting to the end though so I felt like I just needed to go and get on with it. So I started painting and have just been trying to do the best I can with what I got. The sandy color is a color I mixed from the primary colors washable paint to try and use that as a base, but as I started using blue for the waves in the picture it was drying completely transparent. I was having the same issue with the sand, it looked fine with the TV off but when you turned it on the image shined through. I washed it off and am thinking I will have to do a black or white base behind it to block out the light. I also ran into the problem where I will not be able to see the TV screen to navigate the input source to usb and then all the steps to open the image full screen.. this wont be a problem at the show because I can set it up before I put the painting over it, and then as long as it stays on the whole time till the end where it is scratched it will be fine. It is kinda an issue at home though, so I have to figure a way to work around it, most likely using my laptop and an hdmi?

Also the week before when I wasnt painting yet and waiting on samples I watched more tutorials on youtube for painting for painting a galaxy/ pretty night sky. Again due to the paint no acting like paint that mixes well on a canvas I cant do man of the techniques that are used. But again only figured it would help.
