Painting Problems & Getting A working Website

This week I wanted to go back to my scratch test on the plexi after it had a week to dry and was disappointed to find out that the paint was MUCH MUCH harder to scratch off.... it was very difficult // almost impossible with the wood and while the metal coin worked, still a lot of effort was needed... this concerns me because some of the painting will have over a month to dry and what if with time it just gets harder... I am worried that the paint won't be able to be scratched off.

So I prepped more samples using a higher ratio of dish soap to paint however this caused the paint to keep running down the plexi pretty badly. Another thing I noticed is that even on the paper plate I used the paint was cement hard whereas on the plate I had used in the very beginning of the project the paint remained oily and easy to remove... this makes me think that it is possibly the type of paint... perhaps the super cheap kids craft paint I used originally will be better.... so I want to get some and test it on the plexi. I also spent time looking online for articles about painting on glass, the unfortunate thing is they are all on glass, I can't find any about TEMPORARY painting on plexi... I am going to keep experimenting to find something that works . One possibility is if I can mist the painting down before visitors try to scratch at it. This would soften the paint making it easier to remove. - I found this tip as a way to help remove acrylic paintings from windows. I also saw some tips that recommended specifically using kids craft paint because it is washable and then mixing it 50/50 with dish soap and the paint.

This week I also purchased my domain name for both my thesis project website and my own personal website. As well as hosting for the thesis project website and ArtStation PRO for my personal website. I decided to go with this because set up was really easy and I think it looks professional and just really well put together. I collected some of my art that I had no shared to put on there as well as worked on putting together my experience and projects I've worked on.

The unfortunate thing is that there seems to be an issue with the SSL so the site sometimes is blocked or just gives you a warning that it not secure... so I need to try and figure that out.

For my thesis project website I used siteground. I got everything set up so it is live and working and my studio all have their own logins that they can use to update and add things to the site which we hope to make a big step forward with that this week.
